I saw the little hare caught in one of my traps. It's big black eyes gazing at me with that please-don't-eat-me begging, but my stomach was even stronger; "Survival of the fittest my friend; 'tis just how things are", I told the little one, and just when I had picked him up and retreated home, a huge black wolf appeared in front of me, hidden by the woods leafy curtains.
I gulped and wanted to run, but my legs didn't respond at all.

I've been going with dinomammals, "terrible mammals." I wanted to avoid a "-saur" in there as they aren't reptiles, but I could see it going that way too. I think that other gal who does something similar actually does call them "mammosaurs."
